Physical
Mental
Spiritual
Physical - A shinobi's physical energy, which is a measure of their strength, speed, and survivability.
Mental - A shinobi's mental energy, which is a measure of their chakra control, regeneration, and genjutsu damage.
Spiritual - A shinobi's spiritual energy, which is a measure of their jutsu's power, their chakra pool, and their handseal requirements.
_____________________________
Physical: Controls a user's health points, speed, and taijutsu damage.
-Health points are determined as two times the user's physical points. Example: 30 physical times 2 equals 60. That person's health is 60.
-The user's speed is 1 speed every 15 physical points. Example: 45 physical. User has 3 speed, or 'movements' in his turn.
-The user's taijutsu damage is equal to their physical stat.
*note on taijutsu damage: unarmed taijutsu cannot outright kill an opponent if it cannot pierce the skin. Bukijutsu, weapon jutsu, can outright kill opponents if it pierces through certain vital organs. This is considered a critical hit, and staff determines when a critical hit happens.
______________________________
Mental: Controls a user's chakra control, chakra regeneration, and their genjutsu damage.
-Chakra control determines the amount of chakra the user reduces from jutsu costs. Every 5 spiritual stat reduces the amount of chakra a jutsu costs by 1. This can never go less than half of the jutsu's written cost. Example: Kawarami's written cost is 10 chakra. The user has 50 spiritual stat, which reduces jutsu costs by 10. Kawarami costs 5 chakra for the user, because it cannot be reduced below half of it's original cost.
-Chakra regeneration determines the amount of chakra that the user regains during combat. For every 3 points in mental, the user regenerates 1 point of chakra per turn.
-The user's genjutsu damage is equal to their mental stat.
*note on genjutsu damage: Genjutsu damage is only counted as long as the genjutsu is active. If the defender runs out of health during a genjutsu, they collapse. If the defender breaks the genjutsu, they regain any lost health.
______________________________
Spiritual: Controls a user's chakra capacity, handseal cost, and their ninjutsu damage.
-Chakra capacity is determined as two times the user's spiritual points. Example: 30 spiritual times 2 equals 60. That person's chakra is 60.
-Handseal cost determines the amount of handseals a jutsu requires to be cast in combat. every 15 points in spiritual, the handseal cost is reduced by 1. Minimum Handseal costs go by rank, unless specified in the jutsu's description.
-The user's ninjutsu damage is equal to their spiritual stat.
*note on ninjutsu damage: some ninjutsu can burn enemies, shock them, penetrate the skin greatly, etc. Special effects of burning, shocking, freezing, piercing, or cutting, are placed in the jutsu's description.
